Good evening everyone.  Today is the official unveiling of October’s Paperie In Bloom flower, the chrysanthemum.

Paperie In Bloom: October 2012 Chrysanthemum Bouquet

Paperie In Bloom: October 2012 Chrysanthemum Bouquet

This month’s bouquet features three flower variations of the chrysanthemum flower: pom pom, daisy, and spider.  I also chose to make each flower variety a different color: red, orange, and yellow. The bouquet above is intermingled with a few leaf/berry floral stems for added interest and filler. Details for each mum are featured below.

Supplies:

Card Stock: Bazzill Classic Orange

Sizzix Daisies Die #2 or use Giant Flowers Cricut Cartridge for similar shape.

Fired Brick Distress Ink

Assembly:

1. Die cut 18 small, 10 medium, and 10 large flowers using Bazzill Classic Orange card stock for each flower.

2. Ink edges of both front and backsides of each die cut flower.

3. Fold each small die cut flower in half.

4. Mold each die cut flower using a McGill 8mm ball stylus and a McGill Molding Mat including the small, folded die cuts.

5. Take a small, folded in half and molded die cut daisy and roll and adhere with a small drop of Inkessentials Glossy Accents.

6. Continue to add 17 additional small, folded in half, and molded die cut daisies ensuring to offset each previously placed die cut and set aside.  This forms a very tight knit center flower appearance.

7. Next, apply a small drop of Inkessentials Glossy Accents and adhere medium daisy die cut layers together. Remember to offset each flower layer.

8. Next, apply a small drop of Inkessentials Glossy Accents and adhere large daisy die cut l layers together. Remember to offset each flower layer.

9. Now adhere each flower layer together.  Again remember to offset each layer.

10. Shape as desired and add a floral stem.
