Hello everyone and welcome to Scrap N Grow. Today is March 1st. Wow! It certainly does not feel or look like a Minnesota March day. For when I peer out my windows,  I am blinded by the sun reflecting off our deeply blanketed, snowy landscape. Instead of complaining or whining about something I have no power to change, I hand crafted ‘A Cup of Tulip Cheer’, pictured below.

Paperie In Bloom: March 2014, ‘A Cup of Tulip Cheer’

‘A Cup of Tulip Cheer’ showcases this month’s Paperie In Bloom, the tulip. If this is your first time visiting Scrap N Grow, Paperie In Bloom is a monthly feature where each month I showcase a new hand crafted bloom from paper on or about the first of every month. Click here to view previously featured Paperie In Bloom bouquets. Then throughout the month, I showcase additional projects highlighting this month’s featured bloom.

This month’s featured tulips were created using petals die cut from Provocraft’s Giant Flowers Cricut art cartridge. This bouquet will be featured in an upcoming online magazine (can not spill the beans quite yet). The magazine article to be featured this Spring, will include a step by step tutorial so that you too can make your own ‘Cup of Tulip Cheer’.

‘A Cup of Tulip Cheer’ sits beside my laptop and serves as a reminder and hope to me that Spring is indeed around the corner. I can not wait to get back outside to dig in the dirt and play in the warm sunshine. What do you consider sure signs of Spring? Please leave me a comment below.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Come back on Monday to see what I painted at my first Wine and Canvas event with my future sister in law last night. Have a great weekend and stay warm.

Good afternoon.  It sure has been awhile since I last posted, I apologize.  Our ongoing construction Sheetrock project was time consuming.  I am in the process of ridding of the dust as much as possible that resulted from the installation of the Sheetrock. This morning, I spent the day running errands so that my fiance and I can paint the ceilings this weekend.

But before I begin prep work, I wanted to post this month’s Paperie In Bloom flower, the rose. Paperie In Bloom is a monthly blog feature here at Scrap N Grow.  Each month, I select and feature a 3D bloom made from paper. Then throughout the remainder of the month, I showcase additional projects inspired from the month’s selected bloom.  This month, I chose the universal flower that represents love, the rose.

Paperie In Bloom: February 2013 A Single Red Rose

Rose was created using Provocraft’s Giant Flower’s Cricut cartridge. I only shared a single rose with you today, but I plan on completing a dozen long stemmed roses which I will share with you on Valentine’s Day.  In the meantime, I  have several Valentine’s Day cards and gift ideas to share with you, so stay tuned.  Thank you for taking time to stop by. I hope that you will stop back again soon or subscribe to ensure you do not miss a project post.  Have a great weekend everyone…off to paint.
